Event: Torch Marathon - Hopkinton, MA to Boston, MA. 27-mile torch relay with Iron man marathoner & relay runners carrying torch on
Route 135 & Route 16 to Boston Common.
Location: Torch Marathon: Start- Hopkinton, MA, at Hopkinton Common, end at Boston Common

The Human Rights Torch Relay will follow the Boston Marathon Course, starting in Hopkington and following route 135 through Ashland, Framingham, Natick, and Wellesley to the junction of routes 135 and 16. It continues on route 16 through Newton Lower Falls to Commonwealth Avenue, turning right at the fire station onto Commonwealth Avenue, which is route 30. It continues on Commonwealth passing through Newton Hills, bearing right at the reservoir onto Chestnut Hill Avenue to Cleveland Circle. Turning right onto Beacon Street, the course continues to Kenmore and then follows Commonwelath Avenue inbound. The course then turns right onto Herefored Street then left onto Boylston Street. Turning left onto Charles Street and then right onto Boston Common, the relay ends at Parkman Bandstand.
Event: Public Torch Walk around Boston Common
Location: Parkman Bandstand at the Boston Common, across from 170 Tremont St, Boston, MA

Event: Rally welcoming the arrival of the Global Human Rights Torch Relay to the United States.  Boston is designated as the kickoff city in North America for the HRTR.
Location: Boston Common

Participants: Government Officials, VIPs, Tibetans, Darfur, pro-democracy, peace advocates, student organizations, spiritual and religious groups. Speeches, live music, vendors, activities and information booths representing participating groups.

Event: Certified 5k loop through scenic Roger Williams Park starting at the carousel, followed by a rally with public speeches and music peformances.
Location: Roger Williams State Park Carousel, 1000 Elmwood Ave, Providence, Rhode Island

5K Fee: $25 mail-in (postmarked by March 20th), $30 on the day of the race.

*Children 12 yrs. and under race for free & receive HR Torch Relay wristbands!

Refreshments: Water stations on the course and at the finish
T-shirts: Commemorative t-shirt to all 5k adult entrants
Awards: Awards ceremony after race

Directions: From 95 South: Take exit 17, Elmwood Avenue Left at light, Park entrance is 1/2 block on left
From 95 North: Take Exit 16, Elmwood Avenue Bear right Left at light, Park entrance is half a block on right
From 195 West: I-195 West to I-95 South Take Exit 17, Elmwood Avenue Left at light, Park entrance is half a block on left
